Tantric Ski Week in Lyngen, Norway

What do you feel when you look at a breathtaking mountain scenery?

We are happy to offer a completely new kind of ski touring experience in the area of
Lyngen peninsula, combining skiing and learning the secrets of erotic tantra. What is the connection between these two?

Just take your mind back to a moment of the most ecstatic skiing experience you ever had. Probably you felt a deep connection between your body, the mountain face, your mind was silent, you were fully present in the moment, experiencing the moment very intense, vivid and alive. Tantra has been talking about this kind of experiences for thousands of years. It teaches us how to bring this kind of perception to our daily life. Tantra uses the intensity of our sensory experience to expand the consciousness and live our life more fully, more aware, more ecstatic.

Sexuality is capable of unleashing probably the most intense experiences in our life, bringing us closer and closer to who we really are, as beings with unlimited capacity to feel ecstasy, be conscious, to love. Tantra teaches us how to ride the waves of intense pleasure, without losing ourselves in the middle of all that, showing us how to let that pleasure open up in us our hidden capacities. This leads to a more profound and satisfying experience of everything that we are doing, be it lovemaking, skiing or simply being.

Already since many years during my ski touring weeks in the Lyngen area I have dreamed of arranging this kind of a tantric ski week event for people sharing similar passions and attitudes in life with me. I know from my own experience that erotic tantra can give a lot for enthusiastic skiers.

The shared love for ski touring will contribute to a great atmosphere on our tantra course, making the Tantric Ski Week an unforgettable experience.

 

Ski Touring in the Lyngen area

The Lyngen peninsula is an extraordinary place for ski touring. Usually the skiing day starts next to the sea and goes up to 800 to 1500 meters. Most of the time there are spectacular views over the snow-covered mountains and the sea below. After ascending to the mountain it is time to take a break delighting in the beautiful scenery and then start enjoying the pleasure of skiing.

In the Lyngen area there are almost 50 peaks more than 1300 meters high, thus it is often possible to find an untouched mountain face for skiing. Depending on the location, most of the time there will be only one skiing group enjoying that mountain.

The Lyngen peninsula is located in the northern part of Troms, Norway.

Tantra as a spiritual path

Tantra is one of the oldest spiritual paths and differs from most other spiritual paths in several ways. Whereas other spiritual paths often start with ascetic isolation from the world, tantra says yes to life with all its pleasures, savored with a correct understanding of their nature, love and gratitude. Tantra comprises of yoga, meditation and erotic tantra. A common notion about meditation is to go to a silent place and enjoy the emptiness of the mind there whereas for many people yoga is nowadays merely sports. Tantra shows us that even meditation and yoga can be so much more than this. Tantra is a science of using all our experiences in life as they are, with enthusiasm and insight, for our spiritual growth. Tantra is a great tool for spiritual transformation in the modern society.

Erotic Tantra

Erotic tantra concentrates on the full blossoming of the couple relationship and lovemaking. Sexual energy is used to bring intensity and beauty to all aspects of life, in order to live a life full of life. Erotic tantra gives tools to keep the couple relationship ever-growing and alive. Love and ecstatic feelings are amplified between the lovers. Tantric realizations can be applied everywhere. An enthusiastic, daring, insightful and loving approach to life will be more and more present in the daily life, love life and at the mountains.

A few fundamental aspects of erotic tantra

Sexual continence

Sexual continence is the basis for tantric lovemaking. This means to retain the sexual energy within our being to nourish our body, mind and spirit. Usually sexual energy is lost in the end of lovemaking, interrupting forcefully our experiences of ecstasy and bliss, if we even arrived at this point yet. A practical example of sexual continence is to learn to distinguish between an explosive and implosive orgasm. In case of men orgasm without ejaculation will be a highly rewarding art to learn. For men continuous practice is usually required for a long period of time to fully master sexual continence, as for women it is often enough just to understand the meaning of sexual continence in order to apply it. Through sexual continence the amorous game between the couple evolves to a completely new dimension, where it is possible to know your lover at a really deep level. Applying sexual continence may bring huge amounts of love to your life since the fuel for love is maintained within you.

It is also good to highlight that practicing sexual continence doesn't mean avoiding pleasure, instead through sexual continence it is possible to feel ever deeper pleasure, orgasms, ecstasy and bliss.

Transfiguration and couple relationship

Transfiguration simply said means seeing and understanding the other person’s deep qualities. For example, when you look in the eyes of your loved one, you get some feelings about what he or she really is. In the tantric tradition the difference between the masculine and the feminine has an important role, and polarization of the couple relationship is highly recommended. Course for erotic Tantra

This course for erotic Tantra consists of two full days and four evenings of teaching, total about 26 hours. You will not need any previous knowledge of tantra. We will go through the basic concepts and principles of tantra emphasizing more the erotic aspects of it. Practical parts will include hatha yoga, guided practises and some interaction of non-erotic nature. These help to increase awareness and control of energies in general. Course program doesn't include nudity and erotic exercises are left as homework.

By training along the outlines given in the teaching you will learn to increase your sexual energy and to control and to refine it for your daily life and to open yourself for love. Besides you will learn to maintain the inner alchemy of a relationship.

We, the teachers Johanes and Cynthia, have been teaching yoga and tantra for 10 years in the Nordic countries (Oslo, Helsinki, Tampere etc.) and we are very eager and enthusiastic to share your learning experiences and with this to help open minded and vital couples to achieve ever deeper states of happiness, bliss and love. The feedback from many couples who have successfully put the teaching in practise is more than ample motivation for us to take part in this process of bringing your way of living in mountains to daily life.

The course will be held at the Magic Mountain Lodge.

Accommodation

Magic Mountain Lodge, formerly known as Stigen Versthus, is headed by Patrik and Henrika. The lodge has 15 rooms with a view over the Lyngen fjord. Patrik and Henrika have been able to build a good atmosphere at the lodge, thus we are glad to have the opportunity to use the lodge as a base for the Tantric Ski Week.

Mountain Guiding

As we cannot estimate the skill level of the course participants and thus the need for mountain guiding beforehand, we have not reserved mountain guides for the week. However, if mountain guides are needed by the course participants, there are local guides available in the Lyngen area. We can help with arranging a good mountain guide contact. The course participants can go skiing either together or in smaller groups according to individual wishes and needs.

UIAGM guides with their groups are also welcome to join the Tantric Ski Week.
